Miranda + Austin: The perfect 10 wedding

The Wedding

Miranda and Austin will be celebrating their fifth anniversary this fall. “Our anniversary is 10-10-15; October is our favorite month and 10 has always been my favorite number, so it’s a very special day for us.”

The one moment Miranda will never forget from her wedding are many. “I have so many amazing memories from our wedding day and leading up to it that are committed to memory. I will especially never forget our ceremony and how special every detail was. I will never forget the vows we wrote for each other. When the time came for Austin to put my wedding band on my finger, he dropped it into the grass! I was so worried he wouldn’t be able to find it, but he did, our guests cheered and he quickly slid it on my finger. We had our officiant wear a GoPro strapped to his chest and he captured that hilarious moment.”

Austin’s favorite moment from the wedding was the private moment they shared for their first look photos.

The Ring

Miranda and Austin’s ring has a delicate double diamond halo around a 1.30 carat cushion-cut center stone set into a split prong setting. The arches of the white gold setting gracefully frame the diamond halos, giving the ring’s profile a beautiful look.

When asked what she still loves most about her ring, Miranda said, “I love knowing that it is completely one-of-a-kind. I love remembering the look on Austin’s face when we both opened the ring box up and saw it for the first time at Diamonds Forever. We were both absolutely speechless and I cried. I also love remembering the amazing experience we had working with Jenny and Amy.”

Finding Forever

When asked what their favorite thing about each other is, Miranda said, “I love that he is my complete opposite in every way. Because of this, he constantly challenges me to be my best self and to see things from a different perspective. He is my best friend in the world and every day with him is the new best day of my life.”

For Austin, “It’s waking up and hearing her next to me every morning, seeing her bright smile and her laughter.”

Miranda and Austin’s Tips

Miranda’s advice for newlyweds “is to be patient with yourself and each other as you navigate your new roles as husband and wife. I will always remember when my grandma pulled me aside during our wedding reception and told me, ‘marriage is the union of two good forgivers.’ This is the best advice I have ever received. I reflect on it often and it keeps me patient when needed.”

Austin’s advice for anyone thinking about proposing: “There is no time like the present to ask the question, don’t delay it.”
